A Mutilated DCI Officer’s Body Found Dumped in Kolol, Elgeyo Marakwet
The body of Abdirahim Adow Abdulahi, a DCI constable officer based in Embu, has been found dumped at Kolol view point along Iten-Kabarnet highway in Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The officer is attached to Itabwa police station in the department of DCI Embu County
According to his brother Said Abdirahim Adow the officer is reported to have been part of a team working on a sensitive case before he was abducted and murdered.
“We have found a mutilated body of our brother Abdirahim Adow Abdullahi in Kolol view after missing from last week Wednesday where he last talked to his family,” said Adow while speaking to the press at Item Referral Hospital
Mortuary.
“At night while I was in Nairobi a relative of mine send me a photo of the deceased naked badly tortured body and I idenfied him to be my brother,” he said.
The deceased who has left behind three wives and eight kids is aged 40 years.
“The body of the deceased was badly mutilated, hands tied from behind and there were visible head and neck injuries,” he added.
The family of the deceased have been camping outside Iten Referral Mortuary waiting for postmortem for their kin.
“We have not gotten any support from the government and more so the DCI department where our son worked for over ten years for the government .On reaching the Iten Mortuary we noticed his body had not been preserved and he continues to decay,” he said.
They called on George Kinoti and Commissioner of police to intervene for justice to be served to the family of the deceased.
The deceased had three wives with eight children and is expected to be transported to his home County for burial Wajir.
“After the postmortem we will bury the remains of my husband in wajir , we are asking the government to get to the bottom of this matter we believe his death could be connected to his job since he was investigating over 11 high profiles cases some of which are related to the drugs racket” Said Zainab Dheka the third wife.
“What is disturbing is that as the family we are suffering and yet he is police who workee for thee governmnet for overbtwn years , DCI embu what you are doing is bad, why are you doing this to us yet we have children and we want our husband to burry him,” she added.
She says she want investigations done to determine why he was tortured and his body badly mutilated.
“The last thing that I know is that he was talking to a fellow police officer called Otieno. My husband was in Isiolo how did his body found itself in Iten why didnt the DCI officer’s trace his whereabouts.We are calling on the government to help us transport his body,”
“He called me on Wednesday since then he has been mteja, I want justice for my husband , I have three children who solely depended on him ,” Rahma the first wife added.
The Director of prosecution George Kinoti has however intervened and A government pathologist is expected to conduct a postmortem early Tuesday.
