Andrew Wanyonyi Elected Trans-Nzoia County Assembly Speaker
Andrew Wanyonyi has been elected as the Speaker of the County Assembly of Trans Nzoia.
Wanyonyi will be deputized by Matisi MCA Obed Makhanga Mwale who was declared outright winner since he had no opponent in the race.
The two leaders who were sworn in immediately after the elections with all the 33 MCAs taking part have since assured residents of their commitments to transform Trans Nzoia.
In their house address, they affirmed that they will ensure a cordial working relationship with the executive wing and support H.E. Governor George Natembeya to implement his manifesto.
Several MCAs who took to the floor of the house also backed the new House leadership and pledged their support to ensure that the people are put first in all matters.
The house was adjourned to October 4 when the house committees will be constituted and their leadership unveiled.
