Ass. Commissioner, Chief Join TENP in Tree Planting Exercise

Assistant County Commissioner Cheptiret Mohammed Yusuf and area chief Racecourse Mr Melly joined the Eldoret National Polytechnic in the tree planting exercise.

According to the Chief Principal Charles Koech this is a commendable effort, as trees provide many benefits to the environment and society.

“The participation of local leaders in tree planting is especially important, as it can help to raise awareness of the importance of trees and encourage others to get involved. It is also a way for leaders to show their commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship,” he said.

“I hope that the tree planting exercise at the Eldoret National Polytechnic will inspire others to plant trees in their own communities. Every tree planted makes a difference, and together we can create a more sustainable and livable future for all,” he added.

He noted that this is a commendable initiative that deserves to be emulated by other leaders and communities. Trees provide a wide range of benefits to society, including:
