Boots For Elgon:Ruto Equips Chepkurkur TTI, Commit Settling Squatters

President William Ruto has today launched Chepkurkur Technical Training Institute in Kopsiro, Mt Elgon, and committed to settle Chepyuk squatters.

Addressing residents of Kopsiro while on his day two development tour of Bungoma County, Dr. Ruto offered KSh 20 Million towards completion and equipping of Chupkurkur TTI.

The Head of State further promised to open up stores for subsidized fertilizers in the region currently retailing at Sh2,500.

“My government will bring the fertilizer close to your homes. We will have the stores in Kipsigon, Cheptais and Kapsokwony,” said Ruto.

On Matters Transport, The President promised to allocate money for the upgrade of Masaek – Kipsigon – Banandega road to bitumen standard.

Speaking in a separate rally at Kapsokwony market, Ruto donated Sh10 million and KSh. 5 Million for Kapsokwony High School and Primary respectively that will go towards infrastructural development of the two Institutions.

Governor Ken Lusaka lauded the Head of State for prioritizing the construction of Kapsokwony- Kimilili road which has been in a sorry state since independence.

Lusaka said his Administration is ready to offer subsidized fertilizer as a county to enable farmers reap big from their harvests even as he thanked Kenya Kwanza government for planning to construct a water dam in Kapsokwony saying it will reduce the cases of women traveling far to seek water.
