Bungoma To Employ More Ecde Teachers, Construct Model Centres- DG MBATIANY
Bungoma county government is set to employ more early childhood development Education (ECDE) teachers and construct Model centres that will see improved access to education and conducive learning for the pre-primary learners, Deputy Governor Janepher Mbatiany has said.
Speaking at Sirende SA Primary school in Mihuu Ward where she was the chief guest for the school fundraiser, Mbatiany stated the government would soon advertise employment vacancies for the ECDE teachers.
“We are soon going to employ more ECDE teachers to fill up the deficit in the department, we have already advertised slots for health workers,” stated Mbatiany.
The Deputy Governor further stated the government has already advertised tenders for construction of ECDE classrooms saying contractors will soon be on site.
“Already we have advertised tenders for construction of ECDE classrooms and Sirende SA is one of the beneficiaries. The contractors will soon be on site,” she added.
ECDE and Vocational Training Centres are purely devolved functions and Governor Kenneth Lusaka has always affirmed his governments commitment to support their establishments fully.
