BUSIA COUNTY TO EMPLOY FIRE ENGINE DRIVERS AND FIRE FIGHTERS
The Office of the Governor through the Department of Disaster Management is in the process of recruiting men and women firefighters and fire engine drivers.
Successful candidates will be deployed to respective fire engines in the County following successful interviews conducted by the County Public Service Board.
The recruitment will fill the gap of those who are due to retire and the newly acquired fire Engine.
The candidates were taken through fire and rescue drill at Agricutural Traning Center on March 24, 2022 as a measure to determine the right candidate.
The recruits will be charged with driving fire Engine, performing specialized functions in preparing and responding to fire/emergency calls to avert loss of life, property or injury.
Addressing the interviewees, acting CEO of the Board, Martin Sikolia said that this a technical area that will strictly be awarded to those who merit.
“It involves saving lives and property therefore skills on job and experience are key” said Sikolia.
The CEO said that CPSB does not solicit money to issue jobs the board makes it’s decisions independently.
