BUSIA SPEAKER’S RESIDENCE COMPLETE
The County Government of Busia through the Infrastructure and Energy Department inspected the Speakers residence and affirmed its completion.
The project was funded by the County Assembly through the Office of the Clerk of the County Assembly of Busia .
The team which was led by the County Mechanical Engineer Stephen Marenyo and Mr Nicholas Memosa,who is the Clerk of Works for Teso South Sub-County, lauded the contractor for executing the project as stipulated in the Bill of Quantities.
The residence is on a one and half acre piece of land in Aget area of Angorom Ward in Teso South Sub-County.
The residence will act as the official residence of the Speaker of the County Assembly of Busia.
The project which commenced in 2021 has seen an improvement of social status among the residents of the area with land prices already skyrocketing due to the proximity to the Speaker’s residence.
Mr Douglas a resident of lauded the County Government of Busia for considering Aget for the project for it will boost the area economically and also improve security as well as accessibility for the Aget Community.
