Buzeki Concludes Uongozi Ni Sera Campaigns with Mega Rally in Eldoret
Uasin Gishu gubernatorial candidate Zedekiah Buzeki Kiprop Bundotich concluded his Uongozi Ni Sera campaigns by holding his final rally on Saturday, August 6 at the Eldoret Sports Club.
With hours to the crucial vote, Buzeki vying on an independent ticket used the opportunity to drum up support for his candidature before thousands of residents who had turned up at the event.
Accompanied by his running mate Reuben Chepses, Buzeki, taking a second stab at the seat said the event was a culmination of his close interactions with the people of Uasin Gishu both in the rural and urban areas.
“Campaigns are now over. The next battle ground is development of our county. Trust me dear brothers and Sisters, on that, I will place you at the top. Just waiting for your confirmation on Tuesday na kazi ianze. The new Uasin Gishu begins tomorrow, we have no time to waste,” Buzeki said.
Buzeki’s detailed manifesto is hinged on transforming the county into a wealthy region with a unique environment for flourishing trade and jobs for the youth.
He insists he lost the last elections narrowly to outgoing Governor Jackson Mandago because the Nasa team led ODM chief Raila Odinga endorsed Mandago at the last minute.
He is considered a top contender for the governor’s seat in the cosmopolitan county where he pledged to include all communities in his administration.
Apart from rallying residents of Uasin Gishu to embrace peace and sobriety during this electioneering period, Buzeki also urged voters to choose quality leadership over party.
He has campaigned extensively in the region, going against the UDA wave.
