Chepkorio Vocational Training College Students Graduate
Deputy Governor Grace Cheserek today presided over the graduation of more than 200 students at Chepkorio Vocational Training Centre.
The Deputy Governor urged the graduands to utilise the technical skills they acquired in training to create employment for themselves.
“You now have the necessary skills and expertise that if well utilised, can transform yourselves. Do not go back and let what you have trained in go to waste.Start small and with time you will break even,” she advised the graduands.
The more than 200 students graduated from the institution having received training in various courses that includes Carpentry and joinery,Welding technology,Plumbing, masonry,garment making,hair dressing,food processing and agribusiness.
Stella Tonui, centre’s director appreciated the county government for the support and encouraged more parents to admit their students in the VTC.
Present were Loretta Kotut, the Acting Chief Officer Education & Technical Education, Director Samuel Kipchumba and area Ward administrator among other staff.
