In Busia, the team led by County Controller of Budget Edgar Ambuyo visited selected projects across the seven Sub counties starting with Busia Fish Trans-shipment market located in Matayos Sub county and concluded with the official speaker’s resident located in Teso South.

The projects inspected were selected across all the departments in the Executive section of County Government as well as the County Assembly.

The COB team from Nairobi led by the Manager Monitoring and Evaluation Musa Chidzuga and his colleagues Tuti Waweru (Manager Legal Affairs) and Silvin Owino (Internal Auditor) concluded by meeting all County Chief Officers and a section of Directors to discuss their findings after the inspection process.

After raising a number of concerns and challenges affecting projects implementation in the county, it was revealed that some projects get allocation that dont meet the budget requirements and thus standing out as stalled projects.

Mr Tuti advised the County executive to consider adopting a Multi-Sectoral model of project planning to ensure that complete projects are able to serve the people at the right time.

“You should also consider marrying between planning and implementation to ensure easy completion of projects, ” he advised.
