County Calls on Project Identification Committee to Identify Impactful Projects

County Executive Committee Member for Finance and Economic Planning, Micah Rogony has urged the project identification committees to prioritize initiatives that would serve as catalysts for change at the grassroots level.

Speaking while addressing committee officials during the project identification meeting at the County Hall on Monday, CECM Rogony reiterated that they should seek projects that empower residents and uplift them towards prosperity.

“Let’s seek projects that empower our residents, lifting them towards prosperity,” Rogony emphasized.

Almost similar sentiments were shared by County Executive for Devolution, Elijah Kosgey.

CECM Kosgey stresses the importance of impactful development initiatives aligned with Nguzo Kumi, the county’s guiding principle.

They called for a commitment to projects aimed at fostering community growth.

Among the array of projects on the table include Water, Health, Agriculture and Agribusiness, Roads, Energy, Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources among others to transform lives and build a brighter future for every resident.

This comes as the public participation exercise on budget estimation for FY 2024/25 and finance Bill 2024 commences on April 23rd, 2024, across all the Wards.

Among present were County Executives Dr. Abraham Serem (Health) and Joseph Lagat (Roads) Chief Officers Eliud Chemaget (Finance) CPA Victorine Kapkiai (Economic Planning) Mark Some(Administration)Economic Advisor (Philip Melly) and Political Advisor (Wilson Too).

Director Shadrack Morogo (Civic Education and Public Participation) Sub-County Administrators and Ward Assistants were also present.
