CS Education Extends Moi University Chancellor Term by Five Years
The Minister for Education Ezekiel Machogu has renewed the term of Moi University Chancellor Prof Isaac Sanga Kosgey
for another five years.
Speaking after
making an impromptu visit to Moi University Machogu hailed the management for initiating an income-generating project which he said will make the university self-reliant.
“I urge the Moi University management to have a write-up on the proposals of funds needed to revamp back the lost glory of the university. I, therefore, announce the renewal of Prof Sanga’s term in office for another five years,” said CS Education.
The CS education was accompanied by the area member of parliament CPA Julius Ruto
The Vice-chancellor Prof. Isaac Sanga Kosgey took him on a tour of a development project within the university among those which he toured were the construction site of the main gate and the apple farm.
“I want to thank the CS of Education for re-appointing Kosgey and I promise to work closely with him for the betterment of the institutions. The university needs a lot of funding for its revival and is glad to note that, It is on the Ministry’s plan as assured by the CS.
I intend to work closely with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that Moi University gets back to being the giant institution it once was,” said the Kesses legislator.
The Kesses legislator during the Christmas Service, celebrations at Sports Club in Eldoret urged President William Samoei Ruto to kindly consider the plight of Moi University as an institution and that of its workers noting that they have gone for months without getting their salaries.
“I made a plea to the President, H.E William Samoei Ruto during the Christmas thanksgivings and Service celebrations at Eldoret Sports Club to kindly consider the plight of Moi University.
The president listened to our plea by sending his Cabinet Secretary for Education, Ezekiel Machogu today to assess the situation of Moi University.
