Social media have been turned into a haven of the spread of hate speech, division of Kenyans, creation of chaos, enmity, and all sorts of ill that social media was never created for.

A notable number of youths spend much of their time online spreading hatred among politicians, being tribal, and ruining people’s reputation in the name of working for politicians.

Kapseret Constituency Parliamentary aspirant, Frank Murgor has warned all youth against being used by politicians in engaging in activities that cause chaos and spread hatred.

” I want to urge all youths to use the internet in an appropriate way rather than being deceived by politicians to spew hatred as they conduct online campaigns. Social media is not meant to create enmity between tribes, during the electioneering period” said Murgor.

However, Murgor asked youths to turn in large numbers to vote for their preferred leaders while asking them to exercise tolerance during and after elections.

“As we are approaching August general elections this year, I am urging all youths to remain peaceful for smooth voting processes in the elections without any infringement of any election processes,” said the Kapseret Member of parliament aspirant.

Youths were further asked to choose their leaders wisely who will bring development projects in their areas.

“When the time comes to vote, vote leadership which will spur developments in your wards, counties, and the country as a whole. Don’t vote for a leader because he has given you money but choose a leader who will change your future,” added Murgor.
