My name is Dr. Ekrah Ndungu, the Chairperson, Kenya National association of Private Colleges. Kenya National association of Private Colleges is the umbrella body of the private TVETs in Kenya.

I would love to take this moment on behalf of KENAPCO to congratulate the class of 2023 for finishing their KCSE exams and passing well. We had about 899,000 students sitting for the KCSE and about 644 000 of those got a grade in between a C and a D.
– And of course, we had 48,000 of them getting an E.

So what do private TVETs have for you? Private Tvets We have courses that are affordable and accessible. We have courses that you can finish with a short duration and at the same time increase employment opportunities and attachments for you. Our private Tvets are spread across the country. You can walk to any of the private Tvets with your results for guidance on what course you take. TVET graduates will play a pivotal role in driving industrialized for Kenya 🇰🇪 and achievement of vision 2030.

The beauty about TVET is that the fee is affordable. We have courses that are hands on experience and courses that will not take long because I know you all want to start life and get into the job market or even get to self-employment.

If you were aspiring to score an A and perhaps you found yourself in the bracket of the about 644,000 who scored a C and a D plus, you didn’t fail….you were tested for things you weren’t passionate about. Try a course that you’re passionate and surprise yourself by the way you’ll excel & how excited you’ll be as you take the course….the GOAL is to be a success in LIFE! FOCUS on that by starting your career journey.

All you did is perhaps your skill or your gift or your natural gifts that God has given you are hands on and creativity so you can still succeed in Tvet.

Success is not only followed by just getting a degree. Success is working very hard with what you get and what you have towards your passion. We encourage you, if you got an E, D, C there are courses that you can be able to take so that you start life and you’ll be able to earn a living. Tvets are there for you. Tvets are available for you. The training accessible, It is affordable. It is short. So we encourage you to join a Tvets institution so that you can start your career journey and you can start your career path and be contented with the grade that you have gotten.
