Dr. Ekrah Ndung’u, Chairperson of the Kenya National Association of Private Colleges (KENAPCO), delivered an inspiring address at the Pacesetters Awards Gala held at the Argyle Grand Hotel on Friday evening. The event, which recognized outstanding achievements in various sectors, saw notable representatives from Zambia and Zimbabwe, underscoring the regional collaboration in advancing excellence.

In her keynote speech, Dr. Ndung’u emphasized the importance of establishing distinctive and authentic brands in today’s attention-driven economy. She urged organizations to build memorable brands that are not only recognizable but also resilient and capable of withstanding the test of time. “In a world where PR is crucial for sustaining a brand, it’s essential to offer what you promise and be genuinely committed to your values,” Dr. Ndung’u stated.

She stressed the importance of mentoring young talent and staying ahead through innovation and technology. “One of the greatest challenges we face in Africa is garnering support, especially from the government. Yet, it’s through innovative thinking and leveraging new technologies that we can overcome these hurdles,” she noted.

Dr. Ndung’u also underscored the strategic importance of choosing the right brand partners and ambassadors, stressing that ongoing vigilance is necessary to remain competitive. “Someone else is always thinking harder; hence, we must always be prepared and think on our feet,” she added.
