Eldoret All Set for the Devolution Conference- Kitur

The county government of Uasin Gishu has put into place amicable measures that are aimed at necessitating the hosting of the Devolution Conference slated to take place next month.

According to Eldoret Municipal Council chairman, Julius Kitur, the county government of Uasin Gishu is well set to host this noble event with various preparations being put into place among them being the reception of the visitors.

“We are prepared in terms of hospitality and we have asked the various members of the public owning facilities such as hotels and transport systems to liaise with us to ensure the adequacy of these facilities,” said Kitur.

Kitur called upon the neighboring counties such as Kitale and Bungoma among others to have their accommodation and hospitality facilities ready to accommodate the visitors who might not find accommodation in Uasin Gishu-based facilities.

“We are asking our colleagues in the neighboring municipalities and counties to prepare their facilities to accommodate the surplus visitors and this is an opportunity to build the businesses around,” said Kitur.

These preparations have been ongoing in line with the advancements in transport network, security, hospitality, and accommodation with the devolution conference expected to be attended by over 10,000 delegates from all over the globe.

The devolution conference is expected to host diversified personalities across the globe and thus paving the way for the visitors to access various tourist attraction sites within the North Rift Region among them being Chepkiit Waterfall.
