Eldoret: Femicide Procession to be Conducted This Saturday
The Femicide Procession will be conducted in Eldoret town this Saturday.
According to Joseph Dolly Civil Society Network member and one of the event planners they are doing the procession to condemn those illegal acts.
“We are doing this because we have seen in the recent past that our women and mothers have been killed across the country and it’s time we come out and speak against that act,” said Dolly.
He said the procession will start at Central Primary to Nandi Gardens where the meeting will take place.
“We are calling upon residents to come out in large numbers and join us in the procession as we condemn this illegal act,” he added.
He called on the police to apprehend the suspects and the judiciary to fasten hearing and judgment of the cases since they take a long to be heard and determined.
“Sadly, it has been documented that such cases take long to be prosecuted placing the victims of such acts into a state of mental illness as they await the successful perpetration of perpetrators,” he added.
