Eldoret: Governor Bii Speaks on the Ongoing Demolitions
Uasin Gishu County Governor urges the business community to comply with laws.
Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii has urged the business community to work with his administration in the ongoing demolitions as the County prepares to host the forthcoming devolution conference.
Bii noted that there might have been excessive use of power by the enforcement during the exercise but his administration is going to engage in talks with the affected business owners to ensure everything runs smoothly.
“I have sent a senior member of my team to engage the affected businesses and we are also in talks with the business community. My administration is committed to supporting and promoting all legitimate business activities in the county and providing a conducive environment for our investors “Added the county governor.
Bii has appealed to the business community to collaborate with the county governments and comply with all the laws and regulations and said that everything is going to work well if everyone cooperates with the authority.
“We are going to stand with the business community and we have invited them together with investors into the devolution conference so that we ensure Eldoret town and Uasin Gishu at large are peaceful and united,” he said.
“What is happening on the ground is that there is a meeting going on in preparation for the coming devolution conference. The COG visited us yesterday to see what is happening on the arboretum, stadium, and sports club where the meeting is going to be held. ”Said Bii.
