Eldoret: MCA Against Raila, Ruto Dialogue
The Member of County Assembly Soy Ward Isaac Tamogei now says that the dialogue between the opposition leader Raila Odinga and President William Ruto should not be allowed.
Tamogei says President William Ruto Won the elections in broad daylight and no one whatsoever should try to get to power through the back door.
“There is no need for negotiation since President Ruto ran and was declared winner and any other side that is trying to gain power through the back door will not be allowed. We do not need an environment where people lose elections and still come back wanting to be included in the government,” the Soy Ward MCA said.
He noted that if there are people to be sent to represent Kenyans as per the law the legislators in the National Assembly, the Senate, and the County assemblies, those are the people to count on.
“We do not want a tradition where people vie for seats and then they come to negotiate disrespecting those who got legitimate votes. For example, I come from Soy Ward if you lost in Soy you don’t need to persuade me that we share the ward,” he added.
He wondered why elections will be important if
there will be sharing of the government with the party that has lost.
“Raila should learn that the Country has evolved from the dark ages of using mass action. Democracy is the only way for good governance. We have lost many lives courtesy of trying to get into power. Let the opposition seek justice through the members who are represented.” Isaac mentioned,” he added.
