Eldoret Media Hub Celebrates Graduation of Three Journalism Students
On Tuesday, 10th December 2024, the Eldoret Technical Training Institute (ETTI) held its 10th graduation ceremony, marking a significant milestone for three journalism students from the Media Hub Eldoret—Abwajo Marcelah Achieng, Kipchumba Silverstein, and Ronaldo Keitany Cheptumo.
The Media Hub Eldoret, part of the Uasin Gishu Journalists Association (UGJA), has been pivotal in shaping the careers of these emerging journalists, offering mentorship and practical training. The institution expressed its pride in the graduates, who each shared heartfelt thanks during the ceremony.
Kipchumba Silverstein highlighted the importance of Media Hub Eldoret’s support in refining their skills, while Ronaldo Keitany Cheptumo credited the Hub for its hands-on guidance that helped them thrive. Abwajo Marcelah Achieng also emphasized how the mentorship she received deepened her understanding of the media industry.
James Gitaka, chairperson of UGJA, congratulated the graduates and reiterated the Media Hub’s commitment to nurturing talent and professionalism in Kenyan journalism. The graduates now look forward to contributing to the ever-evolving media landscape, supported by the foundation they built at Media Hub Eldoret.
