Eldoret National Polytechnic Encourages Student Participation in Sports Week
Eldoret National Polytechnic is currently hosting its annual Sports Week, with a strong emphasis on nurturing student talent and promoting teamwork. The institution’s sports officer, Musa Kibet, urged students to actively participate in the various events, emphasizing the importance of sports in personal and professional development.
During the launch of the tournament, Kibet praised Chief Principal Charles Koech for his efforts in organizing the event, which is themed “Striving High Through Sports.” All departments have been invited to participate, except for those teams competing in the Kenya Association of Technical Training Institute (KATTI) regional games, specifically the men’s and women’s hockey teams.
“As an institution, we are deeply committed to sports, bringing together trainees from diverse backgrounds to nurture and identify their talents,” Kibet stated, anticipating participation from over 600 students in the Principal’s Cup.
The tournament is set to run until October 12 and will be attended by Chief Principal Charles Koech. Kibet encouraged not only players but also all trainees and trainers to come out in large numbers to support their teams as spectators.
“I urge all trainees, along with their departmental sports representatives and captains, to organize their teams effectively for a successful tournament,” Kibet concluded.
With the events in full swing, the polytechnic community is rallying to make this Sports Week a memorable and enriching experience for all participants.
