Eldoret Residents Speak on Odinga’s Demonstration
A section of Eldoret residents has condemned yesterday’s act of an unidentified gang who raided the premises of a company owned by the family of Azimio leader Raila Odinga the East Africa specter limited company and a similar attack on Kenyatta’s northland farm.
The residents expressed their thoughts saying the whole process was planned just to take place at the same time demonstrations were going on.
Led by Jared Kiplimo the two parties that are the Azimio and Kenya Kwanza parties should find solutions to the issues which are causing demonstrations to take place in the country.
“The government should work on improving security in the country, seeing that none of the gang members has been caught yet is a clear indication that the security personnel is not doing their best “, said Kiplimo.
Humphrey Waswa the safety and security manager of the gas company has confirmed that the company was attacked by unknown persons who stoned a section of the property and the CCTV captured the footage of them throwing stones toward the building.
“They came and attacked us they were supported by four unmarked vehicles and a land cruiser, the windows of the company were shuttered and stones were scattered all over the compound, “said Waswa.
In addition, Kenyatta’s family land was invaded by a gang wielding machetes and clubs around 9am yesterday.
The road users confirmed that they stole sheep, cut down trees, and burnt bushes as others did mock sub-division seemingly with the intent to grab the property.
Church leaders have urged the president and Raila Odinga to come to an agreement in order to promote peace and deal with the challenges Kenyans are facing.
Waswa has further said that investigations are taking place to ensure that the gang members concerned about the two tragedies are caught.
