Police officers in Turbo Sub County have arrested three notorious drug peddlers have arrested with over 300 rolls of marijuana.
According to Turbo SubCounty Police Commander Edward Masibo the three were arrested along Mangula
“Today we have arrested three drug peddlers which the police were looking for in the past weeks. They were in possession of three hundred roles of bhang,” said Masibo.
He said they will be arraigned in Court soon.
“We have intensified our operations against hard drugs and illicit brew, we assure members of the public that the operation will be intensified, “ he said.
Masibo has urged members of the Public to provide information that will be held in confidence regarding business people and individuals involved in illegal trade.
“I want to give a stern warning to those involved in such illegal business to either stop doing it and look for alternative jobs or face the full force of the law. We cannot stay mum while the lives of our children are being destroyed,” he said.
“Let us join hands to ensure the illicit brew is a thing of the past,” he added.
Elsewhere in Soy Sub County, 58 people have been arrested in similar ongoing operations against illicit brew and hard drugs.
Soy police boss Henry Zuma says over 1,000 litres of Chang’aa ,60 litres of Busaa, and 4,590 Litres of Kangara were netted and destroyed by police officers.
“I want to urge our people, especially in Kamukunji estate, Vumilia and Jabali estates to shun the trade of illicit brew and sale of hard drugs, no one will be spared in this ongoing operation” Warned Zuma
The 58 were arrested between April 13th and May 6 this year.
