Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos Sends 80 students to Finland

Elgeyo Marakwet governor Alex Tolgos kicked off the 3rd process of sending students to Finland for higher education.

According to governor Tolgos the 80 students who were selected from all wards in Elgeyo Marakwet who come gathered at KMTC Iten to sit for their entrance exams in Diploma in Nursing.

The students are expected to join a winter Class in early 2022.

“Today I have launched the exercise of sending 80 students to Finland, the students will be taking Diploma in Nursing courses,” said the Elgeyo Marakwet governor.

“I encourage you to work hard, keep time and be disciplined and you should also explore more opportunities once in the European country,” he added.

He said that he hopes to take at least 500 students to Finland by the time he leaves office next year.

Also in attendance were staff from Maxglobal being led by CEO Cornelius Kiplagat, Coordinator Janet Jeruto, Raymond Omonei and other County Staff.
