Eli Lilly Donate Drugs for Chronic Diseases to MTRH
Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) has received vital life saving drugs Eli Lilly through the Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB) in the United States of America.
Eli Lilly donates drugs to improve health of people living with Diabetes, Mental illness and Cancer. The assorted drugs is crucial in the fight against Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).
Eli Lilly and Company has a long-standing partnership with MTRH, through Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH).
MTRH and AMPATH are currently focusing on NCDs and Population Health which are key components towards the realization of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
The value of the donations from Eli Lilly and CMMB to MTRH has been increasing over the last 23 years.
While receiving the donations, the Ag. CEO Dr. Philip K. Kirwa thanked Eli Lilly and CMMB acknowledging the role of strategic partnerships in advancing healthcare service delivery.
He reiterated that the drugs would go a long way in supplementing support from the Government of Kenya (GoK).
