Emuhaya MP Omboko Milemba appointed new ANC Party Secretary General
Omboko Milemba, MP for Emuhaya, has been appointed as the new Secretary General of the Amani National Congress (ANC).
The legislator who will succeed Simon Kiguru was unveiled at the Mudavadi Centre on Thursday morning.
His predecessor has been nominated to be Chief Administrative Secretary.
Speaking to the media shortly after, the new pair of hands stated that the Mudavadi-led ANC would not be folding in order to join UDA.
“There have been talks that we would fold parties to join Kenya Kwanza, but ANC will remain an independent party but within the Kenya Kwanza coalition,” Milemba said.
According to the legislator, the ANC party is all set to begin strengthening the party, with activity beginning with a meeting with all relevant party organs.
Thereafter, Milemba says the party will hold meetings with the party leadership across the country through a caravan that will traverse all 47 counties in the country.
