Eng Japhet Koome Nominated Inspector General of Police
President William Ruto has nominated Eng Japhet Koome Nchebere to the position of Inspector General of Police (IGP) as promised during the Head of State’s Address to the Nation this afternoon.
This is after the Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai proceeded on terminal leave as he battles ill health.
This was announced by president William Ruto while announcing his cabinet on Tuesday.
Mr Koome, a former Nairobi County Police Commander, is the current Commandant of the National Police Service College, Kiganjo.
