Fake Allegations Surface Against Moisbridge Youths in MCA Incident, Linked to Known Conman
A fabricated story targeting Bishop Pastor Patrick Kimeli Kimaiyo, the MCA of Moisbridge Ward, has been debunked after false claims surfaced alleging that a group of youths faced brutal treatment under his orders. The story, written by Wilberforce Wekesa, alias Willy British, has been widely dismissed as an attempt to tarnish the MCA’s reputation and incite unnecessary tension in the community.
Contrary to Wekesa’s misleading account, the youths were not in a meeting with the MCA, as Bishop Kimaiyo was in Eldoret attending a session at the Uasin Gishu County Assembly at the time of the alleged incident. Wekesa’s false narrative claimed the MCA refused to engage with the youths, ordered their arrest, and hired bouncers to assault them, leading to injuries and their detention at Moisbridge Police Station.
Further investigation has shown that these claims are completely baseless. The alleged involvement of police officers and the MCA in the supposed brutality is untrue, and authorities have dismissed the report as an intentional smear campaign against both the MCA and law enforcement. The story falsely painted the police as being complicit in violence, which did not happen.
Local residents have been warned to disregard the misleading account, especially given Wekesa’s history. Wekesa, a well-known conman in Kapkures Ward, had previously been assisted by the MCA to secure a job at Premium Company, only to later be dismissed due to his dishonest actions, which included defrauding customers.
“It’s unfortunate that someone with a record of deceit is now attempting to damage the reputation of community leaders who once tried to help him,” one concerned resident remarked.
Authorities are urging the public to remain calm and verify facts before believing or acting on such allegations. They assured the community that no brutality occurred and emphasized the importance of staying vigilant against those attempting to spread falsehoods.
