Football Heroes Should Be Honoured-Governor Lusaka
Bungoma governor Kenneth Lusaka has urged the government to honor football legends.
Speaking during the AFC Leopards 60th Anniversary funds drive in Nairobi, governor Lusaka hailed Western Kenya football legends, acknowledging their steadfast contribution to the Kenyan football arena.
“Our football legends are the gallant soldiers and the pride of our Nation.They should be properly feted”,He remarked
The speaker Emeritus, who doubles up as Ingwe patron reminiscied the nostalgic memories and the significant milestone accomplished by the top tier Western Kenya football giants, calling for concerted efforts to revitalize the team.
“There’s a need for a cleric action to regain the Leopards lost glory.We should all team -up and accord the team the necessary support “_He stated.
Moreover, the County Boss laid emphasis on tapping local football talents through football academies for the sustainability of the Country’s coveted sporting activity.
Lusaka gave a personal donation of Ksh 500, 000 towards AFC Leopards welfare kitty among other pledges.
