Form Four Leavers Urged to be Careful While Choosing Courses

Students who cleread firm four have been urged to seek advice before choosing courses when Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) will be opened.

Speaking to the press in Eldoret town Ian Kiplimo Koech a Student Pilot based in Johanesburg South Africa said this will help them choose relevant courses.

“I want to urge form four leavers to be careful while choosing courses, if need be they should seek advice from relevant people who have done before. This will help them make concrete decisions before choosing a particular course,” said Koech while speaking to the press.

Koech who grew up in Elgeyo Marakwet County is an alumni of Kapsabet boys.

“Ask them their adviceand what they think is relevant, don’t make decisions without consulting, make sure the moment you make a choice of the course you want to pursue you have enough information so that you don’t just land into a course you did not want to do yet you were qualified to do something else,” he added.

He called on students to work hard saying their dreams are valid.

“Whatever you want to do in future is valid just work hard, be determined, focused, serious and ready to sacrifice anything that pertains your choice of career and with no doubt you be successful in future.It doesn’t necessarily mean you become a pilot many people have different dreams, therefore, work hard for your dream to be realised.Just do what you know it’s necessary for you to get there don’t give up.” he advised.


Koech called on students in High School to get seriouse with their studies and avoid being ignorant and always find time to revise and do assignments.

“While choosing subjects ensure you choose subjects that goes with the careers thta you want to pursue in future for example if you want to be a pilot key subjects are Mathematics, English, and Kiswahili, Physics, and Geography.Male informed decision before choosing abt subject,” Koech said.
