Former Governor Appointed NRVWDA Chair
President William Ruto, on Friday, March 10, appointed former West Pokot Governor Prof John Lonyangapuo to be the chairperson of the Board of Directors for the North Rift Water Works Development Agency(NRVW DA).
In a Gazette notice dated March 10, Lonyangapuo has been appointed as the chairperson of the North Rift valley water works development agency.
The former West Pokot Governor will commence his term to be the chairperson for nine months with effect from March 10, 2023, up to December 3, 2023.
“I, William Samoei Ruto, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, appoint Prof John Lonyagapuo to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency, with effect from March 10,”
Lonyangapuo will replace David Chumba Chemweno whose appointment has been revoked.
KUP party leader, he lost to UDA’s Simon Kachapin garnering 84,610 votes against 86,476.
