Gideon’s starlets manager Peter Ademba has his eyes focused on women premier league promotion after hammering Rongai Eaglets 9-0 in Kenya women division one match over the weekend.
Gideons who were leading the log by a point before the weekend kick off moved further ahead by demolishing minnows Rongai to fuel up the race in the zone B of the division one league.
Ivone Ogada and Faith Omuyaku scored four goals each as speedy winger Catherine Kizito scored one to seal victory for the hosts.
Ademba now has geared up focus in the top of the table finish having lost in the last season’s promotion
playoff to Kibera Soccer ladies FC.
‘It’s a tight race, we have to take a game at a time with the seriousness and team work to be able to
maintain a good run to the end,’ the team manager said.
Second placed Kisped Queens were engaged in the FKF women cup quarter finals going down 3-0
against Kwpl side Ulinzi starlets.
On the other hand, Bungoma Queens who are closing in the third position were not involved in the weekend fixtures. Bungoma will travel to Kitale for a midweek fixture against rivals Royal starlets.
Kisped will look to catch up with league leaders on Wednesday as they host seventh placed Eldoret
Falcons.
