GIZ/GFA Team Evaluates TENP's DUAL-TVET Courses Progress

A delegation from GIZ/GFA, spearheaded by Kelvin Rotich and Jennifer Githinji, paid a visit to the Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP) (Technical Education and Vocational Training) to evaluate the advancement of the DUAL-TVET courses initiated during this May intake.

The team, consisting of esteemed members from GIZ/GFA, was warmly welcomed by Dr. Barmao, the Registrar Admin, and Mr. Charles Keton, the Industrial Linkages Officer, upon their arrival at the institution.

The purpose of their visit was to assess the implementation and effectiveness of the DUAL-TVET courses, a collaborative effort aimed at enhancing technical and vocational education and training. Dr. Barmao and Mr. Charles Keton, accompanied by Academic Heads of Departments involved in the DUAL programme, provided insights into the progress made thus far.

During the visit, discussions revolved around various aspects, including curriculum delivery, student engagement, industry partnerships, and overall program outcomes. The GIZ/GFA team commended TENP for its commitment to providing quality education and its proactive approach to integrating practical learning experiences into the curriculum.

Kelvin Rotich expressed his satisfaction with the level of engagement and enthusiasm demonstrated by both students and faculty members.
