Government Officials Visit Flood-Affected Areas in Kajiado, Assure Support

Principal Secretary Kello Harsama, along with Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza, Member of Parliament George Sunkuyia, and local leaders, conducted a visit to areas recently hit by floods in Kajiado. Their mission: oversee the distribution of food aid to affected communities. Among the places they visited were Esonorua, Eroret Primary School, Magadi, Kamukuru, Shombole, Olerai, and Ngurumani in Kajiado West Constituency.

PS Harsama, known as a dedicated civil servant, stands firm in his commitment to the nation’s prosperity.

Earlier this month, President William Ruto pledged support to flood victims nationwide, ensuring government assistance. Each affected family is promised ample food supplies, with allocated funds to fulfill this commitment.

Additionally, affected families will receive Sh10,000 each to secure alternative accommodation for three months, as the government works towards a lasting solution. President Ruto emphasizes his administration’s responsibility to care for the affected until they can independently manage their needs.
