Governo Mandago Urges the MOH To Expedite the establishment of the new Moi Teaching and Referral HospitaL
Uasin gishu governor Jackson Mandago has asked the National Government to expedite the establishment of the new Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital – Eldoret as this will bolster and ramp up the provision of health services in the country.
Speaking as he joined Health Cabinet Secretary, Mutahi Kagwe during the commissioning of a Pressure swing adsorption Oxygen generating Plant and other strategic projects at MTRH, governor Jackson Mandago said the new facility will have more room to expand and host more departments, thus serving more patients.

The Government has allocated land near Eldoret Airstrip to build a new MTRH as a way to address the need for more space to expand and accommodate expansion.
The oxygen plant is the biggest government oxygen-producing plant in the country and it will provide the much-needed oxygen even as the country continues battling COVID -19.
The County Governmnet of Uasin Gishu is building level four and level five facilities in Kesses and Ziwa respectively, and which will have adequate oxygen to support high-end services like surgeries and ICUs. The facilities are currently between 75 and 80 per cent complete
