Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii today extended his heartfelt support to the families devastated by the early morning inferno at the Jerusalem Shopping Center in Eldoret. The fire, which broke out early in the day, caused significant property damage and left 18 individuals and their families displaced.

Governor Bii visited the affected area to assess the situation firsthand, offering both emotional support and material assistance to help the victims rebuild their lives. The governor expressed deep sympathy to the affected families, emphasizing that the county administration is committed to standing by them during this difficult time.

“Our hearts go out to all those who have been impacted by this tragic event. It is devastating to see families lose their homes and livelihoods in such a manner. As a county, we are providing immediate aid to ensure that the 18 affected individuals can begin to recover and rebuild their lives,” Governor Bii said.

The county government has provided immediate financial and material support, including food, clothing, and temporary shelter, to help the affected families meet their basic needs as they start the recovery process. Governor Bii assured the public that the government would continue to work closely with national authorities and community organizations to provide long-term solutions for the victims.
