Governor Bii Visits Family of a Pupil Killed by Floods in Eldoret
Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii joined the family of Deng Ayur Barach to extend his condolences at their home in Kapsoya.
This follows the sudden demise of their daughter, Deng Ayur Achirin who drowned.
Achirin attended Central Primary School in Eldoret, where her life was tragically cut short after a drowning incident during heavy rainfall while attempting to rescue another pupil.
“Her spirit will remain alive in our collective memory.Poleni sana, ” says Bii.
The two pupils killed after being swept away by flood water in Eldoret town.
The pupils were walking home when they slipped and fell into a rain water drainage system following heavy rains in the town.
