Governor Bii Warns Land Grabbers During Jamhuri Day Celebrations
Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim has issued a stern warning to land grabbers, pledging to protect residents’ land rights. Speaking during Jamhuri Day celebrations at Cheramei Primary School in Turbo Sub-County, he called on authorities to act decisively against land injustices.
“We will not allow land grabbers to rob our people of their livelihoods. Title deeds are not just document, they are a gateway to security and economic empowerment,
We are putting land grabbers on notice and calling on the
relevant authoritiesto actswiftly and decisively to safeguard the rights and
interests of our citizens,” said Governor Bii.
He highlighted efforts to resolve decades-long land title issues in areas like Keljin, Asururiet, and Kiplombe and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to addressing land challenges and driving development across Uasin Gishu County.
