I received with profound sorrow the news of the untimely passing of Mwalimu Wakasiaka Eliud Mwichabe, the esteemed Secretary of the Trans Nzoia County University Taskforce. On behalf of the people of Trans Nzoia County, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the entire community as we mourn the loss of a remarkable leader and educationist.

Mwalimu Wakasiaka was a dedicated servant of education, tirelessly working to bring our vision of establishing a university in Trans Nzoia to fruition. I had the privilege of meeting him shortly after his appointment to the Taskforce, and it was evident from the outset that he was deeply committed to our mission. I had anticipated receiving this vital document before year-end, as we prepared for the next steps in implementing its recommendations.
