Governor Lusaka Applauds Church For Maintaining Peace
Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has commended the church for the role it plays in the maintenance of peace and cohesion among communities in kenya adding that his administration put God at the forefront of its activities.
Speaking during a special Thanks giving service to celebrate the dedication and opening of ACK Kamonjil Parish, Kapsabet diocese in Nandi County, Lusaka thanked the Anglican faithful, good spirited individuals and organisations who supported the construction of Parish.
Governor assured tea and coffee farmers of the Government’s support through the Council of Governors where he sits as the chairperson for Agriculture Committee .
He noted that the government is working towards strengthening the agriculture sector by focusing on value chain addition.
The service was celebrated by Bishop Christopher Cocksworth, the Lord Bishop of Coventry, United Kingdom.
Leaders who attended and spoke at the function include: Cabinet secretary for Transport and Infrastructure Kipchumba Murkomen, Governor Stephen Sang (Nandi), Chief of staff and Head of Public service Felix Koskei, Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot, Senator Jackson Mandago, Principal Secretaries, MPs and other political leaders.
