Governor Natembeya Commends Religious Leaders
Governor George Natembeya has commended religious groups, particularly churches, for their pivotal role in maintaining peace and harmony within Trans Nzoia County, despite its diverse population.
Speaking today at the county headquarters during an event titled “Redemption Declarations,” organized by bishops and pastors from various churches within the county, the governor expressed his satisfaction with the dedication exhibited by church leaders in ushering in a fresh start for the county.
He pledged his ongoing support for religious groups and announced plans to host similar events regularly, fostering a closer connection between the church and county leadership.
Bishop Likavo, the keynote speaker, drew inspiration from Genesis 1:26, emphasizing that humans possess dominion over the Earth and wield the power to shape their surroundings.
The prayers offered during the event were aimed at bringing about transformation within the county.
In attendance were members of the public, county executives, chief officers, directors, and county staff members.
