Elgeyo Marakwet governor Wisly Rotich has condemned the bandit attack at Kaben and Killed two innocent people.
They also took a huge herd of animals.
“Yesterday when we were empowering our young generation through sports some bandits took advantage to attack Kaben and Killed two innocent people and took a huge herd of animals. We condemn with the strongest terms possible. Unfortunately, the GSU team took this lightly with zero response. How inhuman,” said Rotich.
He says he has brought to the attention of the CS interior and has promised to act on this latest wave of killings perpetrated by some few characters who have been benefitting from banditry.
“The KDF team from Koloa responded later and neutralized 5 criminals and recovered 31 cows late into the night. My sincere condolences to the families and the people of Kaben who have fell victim of the latest wave,” he added,
He noted that NYS machines are already in Kaben and will be starting the construction of security roads with the support of the CS Roads Hon Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen.
“We will not stop until the guns permanently go silent. The devil is still with us but the days are numbered,” he added.
