Governor Rotich Delivers Kapkessum Heifers
After a three-year wait, residents of Kapkessum finally had their heifers delivered in an event presided by H.E Governor Wisley Rotich.
A total of 54 high breed heifers of Ayrshire and Friesian whose delivery was unnecessarily delayed as per records, produces at least 10 litres a day of milk.
The heifers are projected to produce an average of 13 litres under proper management.
This will earn the farmers in the area more than Sh1 million a month, when the milk prices retail at Sh50 per litre.
This will not only address household expenditure but also create wealth to our people.It is possible when it is done right.
