Homa Bay Journalists fear for their lives after goons attack them at a press conference

A scuffle emerged that saw Nation media group correspondent George Oduor beaten up.
Nine journalists attached to different media houses and based in Homa Bay County are now fearing for their lives after a group of rowdy youths stormed a press conference on Sunday.
The scribes were all set for a scheduled presser where Luo Council of elders were to address the current political temperatures in the region.
A scuffle emerged that saw Nation media group correspondent George Oduor beaten up. The goons further threatened to ‘behead’ Ramogi Radio correspondent Ali Abich and Lake Victoria correspondent Florence Ochieng.
The journalist are currently recording statements at the Homa Bay police station.
Homa-Bay County Union of journalists chairperson James Omoro condemned the incident asking the government to improve safety of scribes.
