Hon Abdul Kore Welcomes Resilience Program
The government has launched a 15.9 billion project to cushion pastoralists in 21 dry counties against drought and the losses that come with it.
Mandera South Member of Parliament The Honorable Abdul Kore Haro noted,
“This is timely and most welcome… This is very important given that it is specifically targeting the livestock component of Agriculture in this country… we only need the project to be implemented in speed coz it is already running very late… we also need the money for livestock as to be given to the counties for all the devolved functions of this programme…. We also expect the resources to be ring fenced for the purpose it is meant for and should not under any circumstances be diverted to any other programme… no excuses on security or other wise on why the project is delayed or stopped.”
