Honour after Honour For Hon Muteti Murimi
Kirinyaga County Speaker Muteti Murimi is highly honoured.
“On Monday, I was honored to host Hon Josiah Murithi Thiriku, the Speaker of the County Assembly of Embu, who paid a courtesy call on me. Our discussions revolved around enhancing cooperation between the two County Assemblies to strengthen the role of the County legislatures as key stakeholders in the devolution space.
Yesterday, I had the privilege of hosting Ms. Pauline Wangeci, Chairperson of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kirinyaga along with her team, who sought to forge a partnership with the County Assembly on advocacy matters and acknowledged the Assembly’s efforts in improving the business environment.
From our deliberations, I assured them of the County Assembly’s commitment to involving the business community more actively in legislative activities and appreciated the role KNCCI plays in promoting the interests of the business community. I also challenged them to be more actively involved during public participation.
In addition , I highlighted the progress made during the second session of the County Assembly and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation from the Chamber of Commerce for our county’s development.
My office is committed to sustaining and progressive collaboration with them and other stakeholders to foster a strong working relationship and ensure that they are well updated on the County Assembly’s progress and leverage their expertise to address their business needs effectively.
My office will continue to work with like minded organizations and institutions for the advancement and growth of our county.”
