Hustler Fund is Legal-Kesses MP
Kesses member of parliament Julius Ruto now sayS Hustler Fund is legal.
This comes after the opposition leader Raila Odinga poked holes into the source of money diverted for use in the Hustler Fund programme.
Speaking to the press Ruto warned Raila Odinga against peddling lies on the same.
“Hustler Fund which was launched by President William Samoei Ruto on the 30th of November, this year, Is legal and strictly in accordance with Article 223 of the Constitution of Kenya. Furthermore, We have amended Public Finance Management Act [PFM] to support it too.
Hustler Fund is one of President Ruto’s key campaign pledges, is a digital lending system that gives Kenyans access to financing at an 8 percent pro-rated basis or a daily rate of 0.002 percent.
“I call upon Rt. Hon Raila Odinga led the camp to stop peddling lies alleging that, Hustler Fund is illegal, but instead, they should check their facts right. Held a presser at the Parliament Buildings, Nairobi in response to yesterday’s remarks made by Rt. Hon Raila Odinga led the team about Hustler Fund at the Kamukunji Grounds rally,” he added.
He, however, applauded the opposition chief for calling off his parallel Jamuhuri day celebrations saying it was a wise decision.
We welcome the move taken by Rt. Hon Raila Odinga to suspend the parallel Jamhuri day rally he was planning to hold at Jacaranda grounds, Nairobi. This was wise of him, Looks like he has fired the old “misleading” advisers, the likes of Junet Mohammed and Babu Owino. The new advisers are doing a commendable job, keep it up.
