I will Address Issues Affecting Youths- Governor Bii
Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii has affirmed his administration’s commitment to addressing issues affecting youth across the County through the youth policy.
The Governor says plans to table the youth policy at the County Assembly is underway maintaining that it will help greatly deal with all concerns of the youth among them accessing all opportunities available in both levels of government.
Addressing youths drawn from Huruma Ward on Monday during a women in business and youth empowerment and mentorship forum, Bii challenged them to form groups to benefit from County funds like Inua Biashara and County Enterprise Development Fund and other funds like Youth Enterprise Fund.
“Go for technical courses to enable you to be self-employed and establish yourselves,” added Governor Bii.
The County boss further said plans to establish digital hubs in every ward are on course to see the youths tap on opportunities available on the internet and capitalize on doing business online.
County Commissioner Eddyson Nyale, County Executive Committee Members Martha Cheruto (Trade and Cooperatives), Eng. Lucy Ng’endo(Youth and Sports) were present.
