“I will do the best to deliver,” Senior Admins pledge as they sign Performance Appraisals
Senior Administrators in the County Government of Trans Nzoia have affirmed their commitments to deliver best services in realizing the county’s vision as they signed Performance Appraisals at the Museum Hall Tuesday.
The officers serving in the department of Governance including Directors, Sub County Administrators and Ward Administrators signed their Appraisals in the presence of a witness and in full glare of other members of staff.
Public Service Management and Governance County Executive Committee Member (CECM) Kichwen Ruto graced the function that was presided over by Governance Chief Officer Mr. Sammy Sichangi.
Sectoral heads in the Governor’s Delivery Unit (GDU), Communications, Fire, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Disaster Managements Units, Sub County Administrators for Cherangany, Kwanza, Kiminini, Endebbes and Saboti took the lead.
Governor George Natembeya’s administration has since July engaged officers in Performance Contracting and Staff Performance Appraisals that are set to be cascaded down to officers below Job Group J/CPSB 10 as it seeks to enhance service delivery.
“There will be a reward scheme for those who exceed or meet their set targets while those who fail to achieve would be sanctioned,” disclosed Mr. Sichangi while giving his remarks adding that there was every reason that the county should remain atop.
While giving her closing remarks Ms Kichwen assured that her department would endeavor to provide requisite resources for officers to meet their set targets.
She, however, added that resources have never been adequate and that it should never be an excuse for underperformance and appealed to officers to utilize what is available to deliver the best possible.
