One of the Pillars of the Kenya National Digital Master Plan ( 2022- 32) is that of Digital skills and this is a core ingredient required to run the Digital Economy as envisioned in the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda(BETA).
Digital Skills are a pre-requisite for benefitting from any technology, across all sectors of the economy and at all levels of the skills spectrum.
Digital skills will enable every Kenyan to access the Digital technology, have digital literacy and so access and participate in the digital economy.
The Digital Skills Pillar is focused on developing the requisite competencies and expertise required for the Digital Economy.
The Interns also acquire other non digital skill-sets such as critical thinking and entrepreneurial skills and those with innovations deepen their knowledge in ICT Innovation. This is because Digitalent is a mentorship programme.
